This form is due in the Diocesan Office by Feb. 15. Congratulations

(Milwaukee, WI) to appraise church buildings in our diocese,
beginning the week of Feb. 2. They’ll start in the northern
end of the diocese and work south over a period of about three
weeks. They have begun to contact the parishes, so if you
get a call from Eric Weitzer of American Appraisal about appraising
your property, this is a legitimate request.

as well as candidates for clergy positions, are now handled
through Archdeacon Rasmus’s office: 8895 North Military Trail,
205C, Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33410; phone, 561-656-0868; fax,

Tutu’s visit to our diocese May 10-11 includes a large revival
on Saturday, May 10 (time and location TBA), and the archbishop’s
participation in regular services at Trinity Cathedral on
Sunday, May 11. Save those dates, and watch for more information
as soon as details are available! Meanwhile, you can prepare
for this event by reading Archbishop Tutu’s books, which are
available at Trinity Cathedral bookstore and other parish
bookshops.
Graduating
Seminarians—Our diocese has 10 seminarians who
will graduate this spring! Archdeacon Paul Rasmus, our
diocesan deployment officer, has asked rectors to contact
him (561-656-0868 or paul@diosef.org)
if they are looking for an assistant and would be interested
in talking with any of these persons. We’re all asked to keep
them in our prayers as they complete their studies and seek
a call to begin their ordained ministry. Here are their names
and their seminaries: Gail Abbott (General); Virginia Brewer
(Sewanee); Thomas Bruttell (Berkeley at Yale); Thomas Dwyer
(Berkeley at Yale); Darrell Laremore (Seminary of the Southwest);

South at Sewanee is offering a funded summer internship program
of vocational exploration for college students who feel they
may be called to ministry in the church or in service organizations.

on the program, as well as application forms, are available
at http://www.sewanee.edu/lillyproj/lsdi.html.
Applications are due by Feb. 17, so please share this information
as soon as possible with students you think may be interested.
Faith
Alive— St. Mark’s, Palm Beach Gardens, had its Faith Alive
weekend Jan. 10-12, and three other parishes in the diocese
are also planning weekends this year: Holy Spirit, West Palm
Beach, Jan. 31-Feb. 2; St. Mark the Evangelist, Ft. Lauderdale,

IV Women’s Conference June 2-4, featuring Diana

Episcopal
Relief & Development—Episcopal Relief and Development
(formerly the Presiding Bishop’s Fund for World Relief) has
asked that we develop a network of people who can bring news
of its work regularly to all congregations. Each rector or
priest/deacon-in-charge of a parish is asked to appoint a
representative who can assist in talking to the congregation
monthly and encouraging donations to ER & D. This network
of representatives would also be in place to help coordinate
our response in times of emergencies. Please send
names, phone numbers and email addresses to diocesan ER &
D representative Deacon Vivian Hopkins at Christ Episcopal
Church, 305-442-8542 or email chrepch.aol.com. Donations to
Episcopal Relief & Development may be sent to Box 12043,
Newark, NJ 07101.
